Poochies Parlour is a member of the Pet Industry Association of Australia which aims to create an environment of best practice principles and ongoing learning for improved technology and systems in the pet industry. We regularly attend seminars interstate or overseas to ensure we can offer nothing short of the best service for our animals and their owners.

All dogs on arrival are lead into their waiting room suites. Once dogs are finished their full Poochie's treatment they are free to roam around inside the air conditioned salon or out the doggy door to a grass and pebbled back yard. No dogs are permanatly housed unless requested by owners.

All dogs details are on database so you don’t have to remember what style cut your hounddog had last time and other information relating to your treasured animal.

We are always updating equipment so that we have the latest available for professional grooming for your loved ones.

FAQ's

Is it possible to see where the animals are housed?

We are more than happy for any of our clients owners who wish to see our grooming area to come out the back and have a look where their doggies will be.You can also have a clear view of our grooming area from the shop counter.

We prefer a certain brand of shampoo, are we allowed to supply our own?

We only use gentle products suitable for our animal guests but you are more than welcome to bring your own shampoo.

Do you offer Doggy Daycare at both locations?

Due to space requirements Daycare is only available at our Cairns Salon in the city.
